Ombre Nails (Browns)

So I've always wanted to try this trend out but didn't really feel like hunting to the perfect shades to match up for the ombre look. I recently did a Lalaloopsy nail art design inspired by the dolls and I actually mixed a dark brown with a light beige color to create a dark skin tone color. I loved that it turned out so well and so I figured mixed two more shades wouldn't be too hard... So what I did was mix the colors together on a piece of paper but if I had some empty nail polish bottles I would have definitely mixed to make whole bottles. Nude shades are always beautiful and I loved all these.

For this look I used these two colors, Revlon's Hot For Chocolate and Sally Hansen's Beige Blast.

I started by painting the pinky nail with the beige and the thumb with the dark brown.

For the ring finger shade, I mixed a very tiny amount of the chocolate color and a large amount of the beige.

This is how the color turned out.... but I would have liked it to be a little darker after I was done with them all.

After each color I mixed I made sure to wipe my brush off on the paper very well to prevent ruining the color.

For the next color I used equal amounts of both colors.
And more dark brown for the final color.

Here is how they turned out. I was pretty pleased with them and it makes me want to get started on mixing a lot more polishes.

Very nice. I do an accent nail, but never thought of a different shade for all fingers: like a gradient from nail to nail! GREAT IDEA! Thanks
